Dear DCC Dolphin Family, 

Our names are Timothy Marsh and Shawn Pyne and we will be running the swim team this summer. We wanted to take a moment to introduce ourselves and the coaching staff and provide a little introduction to what we believe will be an exceptionally fun and exciting summer league swim season. 

I’m Timothy Marsh and I will be the Head Coach for the Summer 2016 swim season. I wanted to take a little time to provide some more insight into my coaching strategy and the goals we have for the season. I have been coaching for 7 years, this being my third as a team head coach. I am a freestyle and butterfly stroke specialist, but after a long swim career I have a degree of expertise in all strokes. I am a three time All-American swimmer as well as a 3 time state champion and former Georgia High School State Record holder.

My name is Shawn Pyne and I will be the Assistant Aquatics Director this summer. I have been in the ASA league as a swimmer, an assistant coach, a head coach and a meet official. I started swimming summer league when I was 5 years old. I moved on to swim at Dynamo Swim Club, Dunwoody High School and eventually at Bellarmine University. Although I am now a retired swimmer, I continue to fall in love with the sport every day. I have been a summer league coach for the past 6 years and I also help coach at a high school in Louisville while I'm away at school. Coaching is something I'm passionate about so you will always see me on deck. 

Returning this summer are both Paul and Izzy who will be two of the three assistant coaches. A new face on the coaching staff but a familiar face to the Dunwoody Country Club family is Chandler Marsh, current club lifeguard, who will also be an assistant coach. Our main goal for the season is to provide a fun and safe environment where we can develop swimmers of all levels, from the basic strokes to the highest levels of competitive techniques. Our coaching staff brings together a high level of swim knowledge as well as an immense love for the sport that we hope to pass on to the members of our team. 

If you log onto the website, the 2016 season practice times have been posted. Online registration is also now open for both DCC and ASA. The ASA registration can be found on the front page of atlantaswimming.com. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask.

Our coaching staff is looking forward to meeting all of you at Swim Team Registration (Sunday April 17th at 1:00-3:00pm). We are very excited for the season, and May 16th cannot come soon enough.
