Hi DCC Dolphins and Happy Summer!!

My name is Katy Moomaw and I am helping to coordinate the parent volunteers for our DCC swim meets.  Our swim meets (and dive meets!) cannot run unless we have all volunteer positions filled for each meet.  We ask that each participating family sign up to volunteer for at least three swim meets per season.  If you already signed up to volunteer, THANK YOU!!!  

We still have plenty of open volunteer positions for this Tuesday's swim meet with most of them coming in the 2nd half of the meet.  To sign up, go to http://www.dccdolphins.swim-team.us, log in, and click on the "V" next to the meet.  Listed below are the positions we need filled and a quick explanation about the job.  I have full descriptions of each volunteer position pulled from the ASA website, so please contact me at [email protected] if you need additional information about a position.  For DCC divers - don't forget to check the volunteer sign ups for Wednesday's HOME dive meet.  

Deck Manager - Stays on pool deck; lines up swimmers.  NEED:  1 for 1st half, 1 for 2nd half

Timers - Assigned to a specific lane, uses stopwatch to time swimmers and records time.  NEED:  2 for 1st half, 4 for 2nd half

Place Judge - Sits at finish line and records place finishes.  NEED:  1 for 2nd half

Master Recorder - Records the swimmer's times from the lane timers.  NEED:  1 for 1st half, 1 for 2nd half

Bullpens - Stays with a group of boys/girls and walks them to the pool deck before their races.

7-8 BOYS, 7-8 GIRLS, and 9-10 GIRLS -  all three groups NEED 2 for 2nd half

11-12 BOYS - NEED:  1 for 1st half and 1 for 2nd half

11-12 GIRLS - NEED:  1 for 2nd half
